Hello my name is Zoe M. and I'm going to be telling you about my summer reading as well as my reading life. I don't get a lot of time to read but I really love to read. I find it fun to escape to an alternate reality. I really like classics written by Shakespeare ,Jane Austin and the Bronte sisters but I also enjoy teen novels with relatable characters.
Over the summer I was in a play of one flew over the coukoo's nest ,so I read the play and the book by Ken Kesey. I also read extensively on mental illness such as schizophrenia ,different medications ,withdrawal,and lobotomies;an out dated medical procedure consisting of removing or scrabbling the frontal lobe of the brain using an ice pic shoved through the nasal passage. I also researched mental institutions ,and shock therapy ;the use of an electronic shock to to induce a seizure supposedly providing relief from psychiatric illness. Over all I read mostly non fiction and some realistic historical fiction.
